NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) -- A haunting bookstore is coming to New York City just in time for spooky season.

The Twisted Spine, New York City's first horror bookstore and cafe, will materialize at 306 Grand Street in Williamsburg on Sep. 6.

Readers and horror connoisseurs will be able to browse a wide and rare selection of authors, as well as stop in for movie screenings and book release celebrations, all while enjoying spooky-themed cafe treats and drinks.

Despite specializing in all things scary, co-founders Lauren Komer and Jason Mellow say the bookstore is less about being scary and more about creating a community for fellow fans and bookworms.
