BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A person was fatally struck by a subway train in Brooklyn, suspending the L line on Friday, according to the MTA.

The FDNY said the person was hit near the DeKalb Avenue station around 10:30 a.m. There is no L service between Broadway Junction and Lorimer Street as a result, according to the MTA.

The agency recommends commuters take a J or M train or a B60 bus between Broadway Junction and Lorimer Street.

To get to Manhattan, straphangers can transfer at Broadway Junction to an A, C or J train.
