MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WIAT) -- Groups like the League of Women Voters are reaching out to voters ahead of Tuesday's city vote. Whether it's giving rides or guidance on how to vote, leaders want you to make your voice heard on Tuesday.

"A lot of those races are very tight," said Kim Bailey, president of the League of Women Voters. "And some of them, it can come down to just a few votes."

For the league, it's important that Alabamians know who's in those races. That's why Bailey said they are holding candidate forums in cities statewide.

"There's so many things that really, these local municipal elections impact," she remarked. "And you know, people should pay attention because it -- they can really influence their community that way."
