WAILUKU, Hawaii (Island News) -- The man accused of fatally shooting Maui Police Officer Suzanne O appeared in court Friday for the second day of his preliminary hearing.

Detective Eduardo Bailey testimony started off with identifying that Clembert Kaneholani was the man at the scene. He said investigators recovered a loaded pistol with an extended magazine, two live 9mm rounds and one spent cartridge.

Officer Steven Lanzada told the court he found a camouflage-style backpack containing a second firearm, a Browning pistol loaded with a magazine.

Forensic pathologist Dr. Stufano testified that a gunshot wound to the left side of Officer O’s chest caused fatal injuries to her heart and lungs. The gun wound officially being stated as her cause of death.
