CENTRAL PARK, Manhattan (PIX11) – A man was strangled and another was bitten in attacks inside Central Park early Monday morning, according to the NYPD.
Police said an 18-year-old man was punched, kicked and strangled by a suspect near 62nd Street and West Drive around 1:30 a.m. Then, a 37-year-old man was thrown to the ground and bitten in his ear at 93rd Street and West Drive, according to authorities.
Police said both victims were taken to local hospitals.
A person of interest believed to be involved in both attacks is in custody, according to authorities.
