DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) - A Georgia man accused of shooting a former movie producer to death outside of his home in Dothan has been convicted.

District Attorney Russ Goodman tells WDHN that Marcus Hubbard was found guilty on one count of murder in the death of Rodney Caliste.

The jury deliberated for two days before bringing down the verdict on Monday.

Hubbard will be sentenced in late September and could face life in prison.

Caliste was shot in the head outside of his home on Woodham Road in October 2019. Hubbard was arrested four months later.

At the time of the murder, Dothan Police Investigators told WDHN that Hubbard and Caliste were known business associates.
