U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan says Alaska’s long-debated LNG project continues to gain the momentum it needs, thanks to provisions in a sweeping infrastructure and energy bill that he helped craft.

In a sit-down interview with KSRM News Director Nick Sorrell last week, Sullivan said the bill includes a new “energy dominance financing mechanism” that could be the key to moving Alaska LNG across the finish line.

“I’m becoming increasingly bullish on [the LNG project],” Sullivan said. “I’ve worked on that for over 15 years. No state and no part of the state in Alaska will benefit more from that than the Kenai Peninsula, right? If and when we get that done, and I’m increasingly confident we’re going to get that done.”
