SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Following new legislation in the state of Iowa, big changes were made at Northwest AEA following the 2024-25 school year: among them, the appointment of a new chief administrator.
Northwest AEA provides educational services to schools in 10 counties across Northwest Iowa.
Following legislation changes in the 2024 school year that altered funding for Northwest AEA, their new chief administrator Seth Piro says it has had an impact on their staffing and services.
“The areas that have had the biggest impact are general education, services in the area of literacy and math, our delivery of media services, and on the service delivery side for training and coaching,” said Piro. “That infrastructure that really takes to build up and implement high quality services, that side
