PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - The Board of Education for Peoria Public Schools has narrowly approved hiring a search firm to find the next superintendent.

On a 4-3 vote, the board chose Arlington, Texas-based From the Heart International Educational Services . The firm prematurely posted the job on its website earlier this month, prompting two board members to say the company lacked integrity.

This is the second time the board took up the issue, which was tabled at the last meeting on Aug. 11 .

This time, board members had one more option to choose from including an offer by the Illinois Association of School Boards to run the search at a cost of $13,400, which was said to be much cheaper than the five other proposals. No other dollar amounts were revealed, including the cost of hiring
