Drivers are facing long delays on the M25 near the Dartford Crossing this morning (Tuesday, August 26) following a crash. The incident has taken place on the anti-clockwise carriageway just over the Kent border in Essex between Junction 29 for Romford and Basildon and Junction 28 for the A12.
Officers from Essex Police and crews from National Highways are at the scene. Two lanes of four have been shut while emergency responders work in the area.
Heavy traffic has built on approach as a result, stretching back towards the Dartford Crossing at Junction 30. National Highways currently reports around four miles of congestion on the approach and delays of approximately 50 minutes.
It is not yet known how many vehicles have been involved or if any injuries have been reported. KentLive
