With rumours and rumblings that the next Alberta election could come sooner than we think, the previous election is increasingly becoming a distant memory.
Clearly, much has happened since Albertans went to the polls 27 months ago. However, it’s becoming apparent that there’s a need for a renewed focus on two of the themes that shaped the 2023 election: jobs and affordability. On both fronts, the current trends in Alberta are worrying.
That’s not to say the government is responsible for these circumstances, but nor is it completely blameless. Either way, it would be negligent to ignore the situation.
