Two interior offensive linemen have landed among the moves in Foxborough.

The New England Patriots waived Mehki Butler and Alec Lindstrom as Tuesday’s roster deadline closes in, according to reports from MassLive’s Mark Daniels.

Butler, 24, signed with New England in May after participating in rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. The 6-foot-3, 310-pound undrafted guard earned NJCAA first-team All-America recognition at Iowa Western Community College in 2020 before transferring to Arkansas State.

After redshirting, Butler started 38 games on the left side of the line for the Red Wolves. His rookie preseason brought 52 offensive snaps.
