The road down to 53 continues at Gillette Stadium.

The New England Patriots waived cornerback Brandon Crossley and wide receiver John Jiles on Tuesday morning, as first reported by ESPN’s Mike Reiss and the Boston Herald’s Doug Kyed.

Crossley, 24, had agreed to terms as part of the organization’s 2025 undrafted class in May. The 5-foot-11, 186-pound corner saw 79 snaps on defense during his rookie NFL preseason. Along the way arrived six tackles, one forced fumble and one pass breakup.

A practice squad candidate in Foxborough, Crossley totaled 13 starts, 35 tackles and one interception on the way to an All-ACC honorable mention last fall for Southern Methodist. He began his collegiate career at Colorado State back in 2019.
