FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Another cool day today as temperatures bottomed out into the 40s this morning! We will slowly climb back into the low 70s this afternoon. Isolated lake-effect showers from Lake Michigan are possible this afternoon.
Our best rain chance will come along a cold front Thursday morning. We expected the best chance for widespread showers with a few isolated downpours for the first half of the day before isolated showers in the afternoon. Rain totals look to be unimpressive, and more rain is needed across the area as drought conditions creep back up. Thanks to the 0.02″ recorded at Fort Wayne International Airport (the official weather recording site for Fort Wayne) it will NOT be the driest August on record, but we still sit in second for now.
