LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Showers and storms once again return to the forecast as we head through our Wednesday afternoon and evening.

While many of us are starting off the day dry, increasing humidity through the afternoon coupled with warming temperatures will help to spark a few showers and storms.

Temperatures will be a couple of degrees cooler as we head through the second half of the day as some areas are barely making it to 90 thanks to increasing cloud coverage.

Our work week is definitely going to end on a more unsettled note as showers and storms are returning pretty much every day between now and Sunday.

A weak front is set to move in from the north and west over the coming days and that is going to help increase the overall storm coverage heading into the weekend.
