ASHBURN, Va. — Since before the final horn sounded on the 2025 preseason following the Washington Commanders ’ 30-3 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, general manager Adam Peters and head coach Dan Quinn had been hard at work evaluating their roster.

With the 4 p.m. ET deadline looming on Tuesday, the Commanders announced their initial 53-man roster , far from final, but a good look at the team we’ll expect to see this coming season.

Making the team is your usual blend of veteran experience and youthful talent, not unlike last year’s dynamic offensive and defensive duo of then-rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels and future Hall of Fame linebacker Bobby Wagner.
