ROCK HILL — His artwork has taken him to Whoville, Hogwarts and the North Pole, and one year from now people will have an opportunity to see a vast portion of his work in downtown Rock Hill .
Artist Jim Shore , a York County native, announced Aug. 26 he’s opening an interactive museum, art gallery and gift shop in the two-story building at 109 Hampton Street, featuring the figurines and statues that have led to collaborations featuring Disney characters and iconic franchises like the Grinch, Harry Potter and more.
The Jim Shore Museum Experience and Gift Shop is expected to be a major tourism destination, drawing fans from across the country to Rock Hill.
Shore appears regularly on the QVC channel , and his work may have been hanging from a Christmas tree or sitting on a mantle
