Hoping to kick off the 2025 season with no issues, Iowa football hosts UAlbany on Saturday, Aug. 30, at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City. FS1 will televise the 5 p.m. CT game.
The Hawkeyes have high hopes for this season, mainly because of the quarterback makeover Iowa completed in the offseason. Led by former South Dakota State quarterback and FCS national champion Mark Gronowski, the Hawkeyes will try to make a significant splash in the Big Ten.
Meanwhile, UAlbany treks into this game looking for an identity. The Great Danes reached the FCS playoffs in 2023 but have a new coach this season in Jared Ambrose.
