CHILLICOTHE — Local officers were kept busy on Tuesday, August 26, with a variety of calls ranging from traffic stops to drug investigations and missing juveniles, according to the Chillicothe Police Department’s daily media report.

The day began just after midnight when officers made a traffic stop on South Bridge Street, citing a driver for failing to obey traffic control devices. Shortly after, around 2:16 a.m., another driver was stopped in the area of East Main and Ewing streets for failing to stop at a stop sign.

At 4:51 a.m., an officer patrolling Chestnut Street initiated a stop on a white van that had failed to properly stop. The investigation led to charges of having weapons while under disability and improperly handling firearms.
