MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A man was shot while riding in a car Tuesday in Mobile, police said.

According to a Mobile Police Department news release, officers were called to the area of University Boulevard and Overlook Road in reference to a shooting.

INCIDENT LOCATION:

When officers arrived, they reportedly found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

During the investigation, officers learned the man had been riding in a car that was going through the area when it was hit by gunfire.

An unoccupied car was also hit.

The investigation is still active, police said.
