TOOELE, Utah (ABC4) — A local pet store is inviting the community to celebrate the 25th birthday of their very own resident, a sulcata tortoise.

Appropriately named "Roadblock," the 95 pound tortoise first arrived at Rockstar Pets 18 years ago.

Roadblock is a free roaming tortoise who wanders the store and even has a special corner dedicated to him with special UV lighting.

His birthday bash will include treats, games, prizes, and face painting. Along with the celebrations, the store will unveil a new logo and plans for Roadblock's habitat.

The store icon was surrendered to the store as an unwanted pet. He hadn't received appropriate care and as a result, his shell became deformed. His health issues made it difficult to rehome him, but he made an impact among the staff and eventually j
