MINOT, ND (KXNET) — For the next couple of days, there is going to be a heavy presence of emergency vehicles at the Minot International Airport.

According to their Facebook, vehicles from the Minot Fire Department will be on the commercial side of the airport for a scheduled training.

The fire department is doing Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) Training on August 27th and August 28th.

Emergency vehicles will be seen until 1 p.m. on Wednesday and will resume from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday.

EVOC is a special training that helps firefighters safely and effectively operate their vehicles. This includes maneuvering large apparatus, emergency response driving, and collision avoidance.

It also builds the needed skills to handle the vehicles under several different conditions.
