CHARLES TOWN — When Allison Gunn started her new job at the Charles Town Library as the Youth Services Coordinator in May, she knew she wanted to start a young writers’ group. Growing up, she always wanted a group where she could bounce her ideas off other people and get advice about writing. Now that she is a published author herself, she realized she could give kids the space they need to play and create.

The group has met throughout the summer and was successful, having five members consistently. However, Gunn realized she could do more. After leading an Adult Writing Workshop earlier this summer, several people reached out asking for more events.
