The suspected shooter who opened fire during mass Wednesday morning at a Minneapolis church has been identified by multiple news organizations.
Police believe Robin Westman, 23, of Richfield, acted alone in the deadly shooting at Church of the Annunciation that targeted students of an adjacent Catholic elementary school. Westman was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the scene.
Two children, ages 8 and 10, were killed in the shooting, and 17 other people, including 14 children, were injured. Hennepin Healthcare officials said it receive 10 patients from the shooting, including one adult and six children who are in critical condition.
