The Alaska Marine Highway System (AMHS) has released its winter 2025–2026 schedule, with reservations now open for travel between October 1, 2025, and April 30, 2026.

AMHS Director Craig Tornga said the agency continues to prioritize long-term reliability across the state ferry network. “Our team is focused on modernizing systems, recruiting and training new crew members, and advancing fleet refurbishment and new vessel and infrastructure projects,” Tornga said. “These actions strengthen safety, efficiency, and the service Alaskans rely on.”

The winter schedule is tailored to support community events in coastal towns while maintaining consistent transportation links across Alaska. Officials noted that supplemental service may be contracted in the event of major disruptions.
