HUDSON, Iowa (KCRG) - Police found an explosive device outside an Eastern Iowa high school Wednesday afternoon.
Hudson police say the device was found just south of the Hudson High School/Middle School campus and are asking the public to stay away from the area.
The Waterloo Police bomb squad was en route to the scene to assist in dealing with the device.
“At this time, there is no threat to students or staff. School was dismissed at 1:40 p.m., and no students remain on campus,” Hudson police posted on Facebook. “Junior high activities scheduled for this evening have been canceled, and the varsity football game has been moved to the soccer fields.”
