KILLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Now is your chance to own a piece of Killington history.

There is an auction for old gondolas underway, but if you want one, you’d better act fast.

As part of a $38 million upgrade, the Killington Resort is replacing some of its Skyeship Gondola cabins and auctioning them off.

Locals Holly and Daniel George bought four of them for their home and rental properties.

“We had the same question everyone did. We’ve ridden on these gondolas. What’s happening with them? Are they cleaning them?” said Daniel.

“Nothing would get you more excited than driving up to a home that you’ll have a vacation at and see a big gondola sitting right out front,” said Holly.
