After a six-year closure, Kenai Peninsula College (KPC) has announced it will reopen its residence hall on the Kenai River Campus in Soldotna in Spring 2026.

The building, which last housed students during the 2019–2020 academic year, was closed in 2020 and has since been used for other purposes, including housing academic departments and temporary student programs.

The residence hall is returning to its original role: providing student housing.

“It’s a great facility,” said Residence Hall Coordinator Hunter Moos. “Each apartment-style unit houses four students, each with a private bedroom, shared bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a living area. It’s ideal for students who want to live close to campus and be part of a supportive community.”
