ELMIRA HEIGHTS, N.Y. (WETM) -- This week people can visit a pizza truck in Elmira Heights to raise money to support the Elmira Heights Volunteer Fire Department.

From Monday Aug. 25 through Saturday Aug. 30, people can grab pizza at Hook & Ladder Pizza located near the fire department at 215 Elmwood Avenue. A portion of the funds will be donated towards helping the fire department purchase new equipment to support its fire truck.

Vice President, Brad Nicholson of the Elmira Heights Volunteer Fire Department, exclaimed that the fundraiser is a positive effort for the community to get involve and was grateful for the pizza to take part in supporting the cause. Any donation, regardless of the amount, Nicholson said, helps the department in acquiring new equipment.
