‘Across the Fence’ honored in Vermont Agricultural Hall of Fame

ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. (WCAX) - WCAX staple “Across the Fence” is now enshrined in Vermont’s Agricultural Hall of Fame.

Vermont’s longest-running agricultural variety show was honored at the Champlain Valley Fair on Wednesday.

The program is co-produced by the University of Vermont and WCAX.

Show Senior Producer Keith Silva talked about what the honor means for them.

“Across the Fence” has been on the air since 1955.

This marks the first time a show, instead of a person, has been inducted into Vermont’s Agricultural Hall of Fame .
