The Wolf Creek Public Schools Board of Trustees recently gave a presentation regarding a unique blend of education and rehabilitation.

The presentation at École Lacombe Composite High School was led by Wolf Creek Educations Centre (WCEC) principal Evie Van Scheik and offered a look at the only long-term institutional rehabilitation program of its kind in Alberta.

The program serves students aged 16 to 65, with most of them navigating complex brain injuries, mental health diagnoses, addictions, or concurrent disorders.

The centre WCEC focuses on executive functioning, literacy, numeracy, the use of assistive technology, and preparing students for the next phase of their lives.
