COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 29-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Crawford County on Tuesday afternoon, according to the sheriff’s office.
The crash happened at the intersection of state Route 4 and state Route 294 around 2:50 p.m.
According to a release from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, a preliminary investigation revealed a 2017 Yamaha YZF-R3 motorcycle was traveling southbound on Route 4 behind a 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer.
The Chevrolet reportedly slowed down and turned east onto Route 294. The motorcyclist tried to pass the Chevrolet and hit it on the driver side front.
The sheriff’s office said the motorcyclist was then ejected and both him and the motorcycle went off the roadway and came to a stop in a yard.
