DES MOINES, Iowa (KCRG) - Governor Reynolds has ordered all flags in Iowa to be lowered to half-staff in honor of the victims of the shooting that occurred in Minneapolis on Wednesday.

Two children were killed and 17 people were injured at the Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis on Wednesday.

Governor Kim Reynolds released a statement after the shooting.

“What occurred this morning at Annunciation Catholic Church and School in Minneapolis is unspeakably senseless violence against innocent and defenseless children,” said Reynolds. “Such evil acts have no place in our great nation.”

The governor’s order echoes an order from President Trump.
