ASHBURN, Va. — The day after the Washington Commanders and receiver Terry McLaurin finalized a new three-year deal, general manager Adam Peters, head coach Dan Quinn, and their star all addressed the media.
“We wanted him to be here for a long time, and we’re thrilled that we got a chance to do that,” the Commanders’ general manager said in one of his first remarks about the deal.
With three more years on top of the current season, McLaurin has one year remaining on his last contract; the star receiver is all but guaranteed to cement himself as a Washington legend coming off his best all-around year as a pro.
