DUBLIN, Ohio — Dublin City Schools is working to redraw the boundary lines that determine which high school students attend, as the district grapples with uneven growth among its three schools.
The district has enlisted a third-party consultant, Cropper GIS, to help create new maps dividing households among Dublin's high schools . Drafts of the maps will be presented to the public in September, with the superintendent making a final decision in November.
The redistricting process has some parents concerned their children will have to attend a school they didn’t plan to.
Becky Shaffer’s son will graduate from Dublin Coffman High School this year, but if her neighborhood is impacted by the redistricting, her seventh-grade daughter would have to go to a different high school.
