As we look ahead here for the WSIL viewing area, we're seeing a continuation of some absolutely delightful weather for the upcoming holiday weekend and into early next week.

The overall picture is one of very pleasant, below-average conditions. This is excellent news for anyone planning outdoor activities! We're forecasting mostly dry conditions to persist, which is great news for us.

Looking at our current setup, a high-pressure system is moving out of the area today, making way for a more southerly flow by tomorrow. While models suggest some showers and storms developing to our west, we in the Mid-Mississippi River Valley appear to be mostly in the clear, with only a slight chance of anything significant reaching our far southwestern corners. This trend should hold, keeping things dry
