An update has been given on major changes planned near to Coventry Building Society Arena. CoventryLive reported that the city council plans to bring new 'no stopping' restrictions around the venue, as well as a new dedicated taxi rank.

Concerns were raised about road safety around the arena and this led to the major proposed changes to Judds Lane and Rowley’s Green Lane . A key element would see vehicles being banned from stopping along Judds Lane and part of Rowley’s Green Lane.

This, the council says, will also put an end to street parking at the cul-de-sac end of Judds Lane and improve safety for pedestrians accessing the stadium via the Grindle Road rail overbridge.

Also a dedicated taxi rank is being proposed for a section of Judds Lane, next to the stadium. This would provide
