KUNIA, Hawaii (Island News) -- Community members were instrumental in identifying arson suspect Antonio Vierra, who manages a farm lot in Kunia.
For months, Kunia residents and business operators have been living in fear.
"They had a lot of fear," said Charles Donaldson, board president of the Kunia Loa Ridge Farmlands. "There was a lot of conversations I had where they said, 'We don't want to have like another Lahaina.'"
Not knowing when something or someone would spark another flame.
"Probably 85% of our farmers were hyper-vigilant I think is the term I would use because they were always on, watching out for that next fire to break out."
After hundreds of acres were scorched in Kunia, an arson suspect is now in custody and the community's sleeping a little more soundly.
"Sunday was
