As the summer reading program for the Mason County District Library draws to a close this year, the Scottville and Ludington Libraries enjoyed a time of celebration for a summer well spent.
Emily Garland, director of youth services for the Mason County District Library said the summer reading program has been really successful.
“We enjoyed a lot of great programs and enjoyed a lot of great things for our community,” she said.
Although the total numbers of participants still need to be tallied, she said there was about the same amount of children and teen readers as the last year or so, and adult participation was up this year.
Ludington Library hosted its last program on Monday with Pancakes and PJ’s.
