Two men have denied a string of charges in connection with the alleged rape of 12-year-old girl in Nuneaton. Both Mohammad Kabir and Ahmad Mulakhil appeared at Warwick Crown Court earlier this morning (August 28).

It was their first crown court appearance after they were charged in connection with the alleged rape of the girl, who has not been identified but is aged 12, in the Cheverel Street area of the town on July 22. Both were said to be of no fixed abode.

Mohammad Kabir, who is aged 23, faced four charges. One was a charge of attempting to take the 12-year-old girl and another was aiding and abetting the rape of a child under 13.

He was also accused of the intentional strangulation of the 12-year-old girl as well as the abduction of the 12-year-old.
