Mayor Ridenour announces plans to address reduction in 2026 tax money

MUNCIE, IN — Mayor Dan Ridenour says the city is prepared to operate with less tax revenue at its disposal in 2026.

At a press conference on the front steps of City Hall on Tuesday, Aug. 26, the Muncie mayor said cuts, resulting in part from Indiana Senate Bill 1, will reduce available property tax revenue in 2026 to $17,129,000.
