When I was younger I used to get really excited when the New York Jets added a back end roster player. I distinctly remember when they signed runningback Jonathan Grimes off the Texans practice squad in 2013 and thinking that he was going to be our starter for a while… needless to say that didn’t happen. And the real answer is that most of these back end roster moves don’t amount to much so I’ve generally stopped giving much thought to them.

Sometimes though, a move is quite interesting. One such move seems to be the signing of offensive tackle Esa Pole who is an undrafted free agent who spent the summer with the Kansas City Chiefs before being following the cut deadline.

Why is Pole interesting? Well because apparently his cut has led to quite the uproar among the Kansas City faithful.
