Coppell won the district championship the last two years without losing a game in the regular season but are replacing almost their entire roster.

The program will always be expected to play stellar football, defensively, under head coach Antonio Wiley. The side effect of the amount of talent the Cowboys are replacing is that they could be just as good, only losing to the eventual state champions in North Crowley last year, or even better. Their ceiling will be hard to gauge until the product can be seen in person.
