CINCINNATI — Former North Dakota State offensive lineman Cordell Volson isn't going anywhere, despite being cut by the Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday.

Volson cleared waivers Wednesday and reverted to Cincinnati's injured reserve list, making him ineligible to play the rest of the season.

Volson suffered a season-ending shoulder injury last week that will require surgery, so he was waived by the Bengals with an injury designation. When he wasn't claimed by another team before Wednesday's deadline, he reverted to the Bengals' injury list.

He's expected to return in 2026.
