VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A woman has been arrested in connection with a shooting on Saturday on South Lynnhaven Road, according to Virginia Beach police.

Police said a report of a gunshot wound in the 2900 block of South Lynnhaven Road came in shortly before 4 a.m. Responding officers did not find a victim at the scene.

Shortly after, a man arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound. Detectives determined his injuries were linked to the South Lynnhaven Road shooting.

Investigators later identified 32-year-old Jasmine Hockaday as the suspect. She was arrested on Wednesday and charged with aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm, and shooting into an occupied dwelling.
