SUFFOLK, Va. — A detached garage became engulfed in flames in Suffolk on Thursday afternoon, firefighters said.

Suffolk Fire & Rescue was called to the 600 block of West Liberty Spring Road around 6 p.m. Thursday evening.

When crews arrived, they found a large, four-bay detached garage heavily involved in fire. Crews established a rural water supply operation in order to extinguish the massive flames.

Firefighters said one woman experienced a medical emergency and was taken to the hospital, but no other injuries were reported at the scene.

It's unclear at this time what caused the fire, but the Suffolk Fire Marshal's Office is investigating.
