CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A chaotic scene unfolded in Chillicothe on August 23, 2025, when a man wielding sticks attacked vehicles and threatened bystanders, injuring a child and prompting a multi-agency response. Chad Mills, 38, was arrested and charged with multiple offenses following the midday incident near the Olive Garden parking lot at 1417 N. Bridge St.

The incident began around 12:51 p.m. when Ross County Sheriff’s deputies, including Sgt.
