MORGANTOWN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Morgantown Police Department is investigating reports of alleged sexual assaults occurring on or near the city’s rail trail.

Police said no official criminal complaints have been filed at this time, and details remain limited. As a precaution, officers have increased patrols in areas of concern along the trail while the investigation continues.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the department at 304-599-6382. Emergencies should be reported to 911, while the same phone number should be used for non-emergency tips.
