NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A powerhouse in the French Quarter, Galatoire's comes from humble beginnings. This year the restaurant is celebrating a milestone birthday, 120 years!

Melvin Rodrigue is the CEO over at Galatoire's. He spoke with our Amy Russo about what they're serving up on the Coolinary menu this year.

"It [Coolinary] gives chef an opportunity to play around a little bit and have some fun with the local ingredients," said Rodrigue. "We are going to have an escargot and herb saint cream. We're also going to have some locally caught Des Allemands catfish over corn maque choux. Also, because it's summer, we have a beautiful, arugula and grilled watermelon salad topped with fried oysters and done with pickled onion. Lastly, we're going to do a bronzed gulf shrimp over eggplant jam."
