COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A lucky lottery player from the Midlands recently claimed a six-figure jackpot.
The South Carolina Education Lottery says the winner bought the winning ticket at the Two Notch Mart on Two Notch Road in Columbia. Lottery officials said the winner picked the winning five numbers out of thin air, which matched the drawing on Aug. 7.
The winner told lottery officials they plan to invest in some land while also continuing to play Palmetto Cash 5.
Two Notch Mart received a $6,580 commission for selling the winning ticket.
The odds of winning a Palmetto Cash 5 jackpot are 1 in 850,668 .
